Play Therapy for Children in Derbyshire
My Services

Parents and carers can refer children for individual play therapy. I work in Belper and Derby.
After an initial assessment conversation with parents/carers, we begin with an initial block of six weeks. I would work with your child on a weekly basis and then we would review and decide on next steps.
We usually agree blocks of 3 weeks to allow for a sense of continuity and an appropriate ending, when the time comes.
The number of sessions planned usually depends on the needs of the child and family and always in consultation with you.

Filial play coaching is a programme which aims to support and develop the relationship between a child and caregiver through play. The intention is to scaffold and strengthen key skills such as boundary setting and reflection. I work primarily with parents and carers over a period of 12 to 16 weeks, with regular opportunities for reflection and learning.
